Definition of "Nantzu"

The three EPZs are the Kaohsiung Export Processing Zone in southern Taiwan, the Nantzu Export Processing Zone at Nantzu near Kaohsiung and the Taichung Export Processing Zone at Tantzu near Taichung in central Taiwan.

Another fact deserving note is that owing to heavy opposition and protests in the Kaohsiung City Nantzu District Fifth Naphtha Plant case listed in Table 4, opposition registered in a May 6, 1990 referendum led the developer, China Petroleum, to donate a local construction fund of NT$1.5 billion to the local government of the Nantzu District’s Houchin area.

This park is the first large-scale public park in Taiwan. It is located on the border of Nantzu District in Kaohsiung City and Chiaotou village, Kaohsiung County and this park measures 95 hectares.
