Definition of "misengineer"

I think that some advantages can be gained by eliminating particularly noisy designs, designs that have been misengineered and developed, let's say, improper wear profiles on the surface— eliminate some of the compressions, eliminate the tendency of tires to wear into cups, and that sort of thing.
